Dana’s Story

The Adaptive Sports Center offers instructional skiing, snowboarding, whitewater rafting, and cycling for individuals with disabilities. Located in Crested Butte, Colorado, the ASC provides programs that are inclusive to families and friends, empower participants in their daily lives and have a positive enduring effect on self-efficacy, health, independence and overall well-being.

Teachers Matter

When tasked with breathing new life into a stale recognition, I teamed up with colleagues to create Teachers Matter, a social and digital media series for Poudre School District. This project won a 2017 Golden Achievement Award from the Colorado School Public Relations Association. Read more about Teacher Matter here.


People of PSD

Many people think of only one staff position when a school district comes to mind — teachers. To celebrate and generate awareness of the district’s support staff, I launched People of PSD, a social media series modeled after “Humans of New York.” This project won a 2016 Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association. Eventually, it grew to encompass students, teachers, and alumni as well. Read more about the strategy behind the campaign here.
